Snow Escape by Roberta Goodman

This was one of those books where you open it and do not shut it until you are finished. It begins with a blizzard hitting and shutting down the city. Allegra Maxwell, a fourth grade teacher, gets released from school early and heads on home for what she thought would be a relaxing weekend with her cat, computer and school papers to grade.

Depressed over the ending of her last "relationship", Allegra attempts to try out an online dating site. After multiple fails in her attempts she was just about ready to give up when Charles, a shoe salesman, sends her an email. Thinking that she has nothing more to lose she replies to him just to recieve a nearly immediate reply. After speaking to him via instant messenger she starts to feel uncomfortable when the conversation begins to turn into strange territory. Charles starts to talk about how people often wait for a situation like the storm to commit horrible crimes because there is such a long response time.

She was just about to sign off when he said something to make her ears perk up. He mentions "our building" and from that point forward Allegra is on edge. Does he live in her building? Does she know him? He tells her that he is going to get her and through out the rest of the book you start to wonder if she is crazy or if this guy really exists!

I assure you that you will no be sorry if you grab a copy of this book! It was amazing and I have since read it 2 more times just to catch even more things I may have missed due to complete fear and anxiety!

Grab your own copy!!!! You won't be disappointed!

  1. Thank you so much for the wonderful review, Ashley :) I'm so happy you enjoyed reading it! The inspiration to write Snow Escape was so overwhelming that I couldn't not write it. It only took me a little over five months to complete because most of the time the material came to me faster than I could write it down.
